What Haven Map is
Haven Map is a free, publicly accessible directory of free and very low-cost support across the United Kingdom. It is designed to help people find essential things — food, clothing, warmth, hygiene, pet support, household goods, and more — during difficult times.
The site is calm, plain, and trustworthy by design. It does not ask who you are, why you need help, or where you come from. You are welcome here.
Haven Map exists to help people find useful support in hard times.
Why it exists
Finding help in the UK can be fragmented. Resources are spread across dozens of websites, phone lines, and community noticeboards, and the language used can be clinical or discouraging.
Haven Map gathers that information in one place, presents it plainly, and keeps it as accurate as possible so that people can find what they need with dignity and without frustration.
How the data is gathered
Listings on Haven Map come from a combination of sources:
- Trusted UK charities, community websites, and public sector resources
- Direct submissions from verified organisations
- Automated collection from a whitelist of approved public websites
Every automatically collected listing is checked and assigned a confidence score. Listings with a low score are held for manual review before publishing.
All listings are checked regularly. Stale or expired listings are unpublished automatically.
Automated content
Some content on Haven Map may be gathered automatically from public websites. When this happens, we only extract public, non-sensitive offer data — titles, descriptions, contact details, and locations. We do not extract or store personal information about individuals.
Automated listings are reviewed before publishing where possible, and flagged for attention when they are uncertain. If you believe a listing is inaccurate, please use the report button on the listing page.

Privacy first
Haven Map does not collect personal data from visitors. No accounts, no tracking, no unnecessary cookies. We keep it simple.
Regular review
We check listings regularly. When a listing goes out of date, it is unpublished rather than left misleading people. Last-checked dates are shown on every listing.
Dignity as default
The site is designed to help people without making them feel judged, tracked, or watched. Calm language, generous space, and clear information.
Open to all
Charities and community organisations can submit listings for free, with no hidden fees, no required registration, and no commercial agenda.
Privacy & data
Haven Map avoids collecting personal data wherever possible. The site does not require registration and does not store information about visitors.
Contact details submitted via the listings form are used only to process and moderate submissions. They are not shared with third parties and are not used for marketing.
Listings on Haven Map contain only publicly available contact information for organisations — not personal contact details for individuals.
Google Ads may be served on the site. Google's advertising systems use cookies and may collect anonymised usage data under Google's Privacy Policy. You can manage ad preferences through Google Ad Settings.
Terms & use
Haven Map is provided free of charge for informational purposes. We take care to ensure listings are accurate, but we cannot guarantee the availability or accuracy of offers listed. Always contact an organisation directly before relying on the information.
